Surveyor

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Field surveying using GPS-based survey equipment
• Field staking of excavation layouts
• Survey data reduction
• Volumetric calculations
• Map preparation
• Maintenance of equipment monitoring systems
• Assisting with preparation of mine plans and reports.
• All work must be performed in strict compliance with established environmental and safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• At least one year of experience surveying and performing volumetric calculations in mining or consulting engineering environment.
• Experience with Windows-based computer systems, AutoCAD/SurvCADD software, volumetric calculations, and GPS-based survey equipment are desired

PREFEERED EXPERIENCE:

• Associate or Bachelor degree in engineering, engineering technology, or surveying is preferred.
