Electrical Supervisor - Black Thunder Mine

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Enforce Federal, State and Company safety rules and regulations
• Prepare daily work assignments for electrical technicians and oversee the troubleshooting of electrical problems.
• Direct electrical technicians in skills needed to safely assemble, maintain and repair equipment and facilities as well as learning other skills.
• Ensure availability of necessary parts and tools for work unit.
• Maintain necessary records to document significant work activities, employee performance, and safety matters.
• Responsible for administering the (STAR) program for technician advancement.
• Conduct daily line-up meetings, employee involvement meetings and resolve problems as they arise.

• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other relevant field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years direct work experience in electrical maintenance.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple people, tasks and projects.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and e-mail software applications.
