2024 Summer Internship Program

For the 2024 Summer internship program, Thunder Basin Coal Company is seeking emerging engineering students currently pursuing their engineering degree in one or more of the following engineering disciplines:

• Mining • Civil • Electrical • Mechanical • Environmental • Geological

We welcome interns interested in learning, growing, and applying engineering skills in the surface mining environment. You will work alongside senior leadership, receive training through on-the-job assignments using technical skills acquired in college and build new long-lasting relationships. The goal of our program is to provide exposure to a variety of project work and build critical skills including communication, teamwork, collaboration, time management and problem solving.
